Hosted and designed websites for the internet including all aspects of eCommerce. Provided small business consulting, particularly in the areas of business planning and design and installation of technology, including networking solutions.  Performed all aspects of owning and operating a business.

  Director – The Partnership for Business and Industry Training

South Texas Community College, McAllen, Texas (1996 to 1999)

Founded, directed, and developed an integrated workforce - economic development partnership with over 60 local and 40 nationwide employers.  Authored and received over $ 6 million in workforce development grants.  Created a model welfare-to-work / self sufficiency project including partnerships with public and private sector employers, community based organizations, and State and Federal agencies to serve the two county service area of the college.  Consulted with partner companies and trained on ISO / QS 9000.  The Partnership is credited with creation of over 800 jobs in the McAllen, Texas, area during its two-year history.

                   Johnson Controls World Services, Kwajalein, Republic of Marshall Islands (1993 to 1995)

Developed and delivered management development training programs for all JCWS Kwajelein supervisory and management employees, including extensive utilization of Zenger-Miller materials.  Project Director for the National Workplace Literacy Grant project for the partnership between Johnson Controls and the College of the Marshall Islands.  Managed the development of the Marshallese employees in acquiring vocational and leadership skills.

Developed and distributed computer-based therapeutic and training programs for treatment of the cognitively impaired.  Trained psychologists and psychiatrists on the concepts and application of cognitive and neural function retraining.

                        Developed and taught courses in electronics, drafting, manufacturing, and mathematics.

Developed and directed implementation of a total quality program to ISO 9000 standards, including extensive training of all personnel in the application of SPC to hot forging processes during a period of exponential sales growth.  Directed all inspection and measurement activities, including gage lab.  Controlled all process documentation and drawings.  Received vendor certification awards from Copeland Corporation, Tecumseh Corporation and Ford Motor Company.

                        Chairman of the President's Task Force for Total Quality Management (TQM): supervised the development of programs and strategies for training 20,000 employees on TQM; developed and implemented a model employee participation process for selected plants; established an employee participation measurement system and bases for measuring program success.

Service Manager - Marine and Stationary Power

                        Cummins Engine Company, Columbus, Indiana (1978 to 1980)

                        Provided worldwide technical support to Cummins distributors, OEM's and their respective customers on the Cummins generator set systems and applications problem resolution, including policy negotiations between parties as required.  Provided on-call witness testing for distributors and customers and on-call service response for urgent problems.

Service Instructor - Power Generation

                        Cummins Engine Company, Columbus, Indiana (1977 to 1978)

Developed curricula and facilities to train distributor mechanics and corporate marketing personnel on service and application of Cummins diesel-generator systems.  Coordinated the training of personnel and installation of equipment in the Singapore and Daventry, England, diesel generator training centers.

Provided general and specific related instruction, vocational counseling, and placement for cooperative, vocational education students.

Product Testing Supervisor

General Aviation Electronics, Indianapolis, Indiana (1975 to 1976)

Supervised testing of radio products for avionics, marine, land mobile and amateur markets to FCC and FAA standards.  Implemented a tester accountability system; involved quality and production testers in a joint problem solving effort resulting in a reduction of rework from over 50% to less than 10% in three months.
